About Us:
The Ski Wheelers is one of the largest
social and skiing clubs in NH. Most members are single from the Boston
area and are ages 25 and up. The club is designed primarily for single
adults. There is also a limited number of openings for married individuals.
The Ski Wheelers own a huge lodge (pictured above) in North Conway, NH
(featured in the movie, "Return of the Secaucus 7"). It was built in 1863
but continues to offer us roomy common areas, two fireplaces, 23 spacious
bunkrooms, 9 bathrooms, TV & VCR, and a large commercial kitchen.
It’s not fancy, but it is a great deal!
During the ski season, members ski, snowshoe,
enjoy North Conway's outlet shopping and restaurants, or simply enjoy
being able to get away on the weekends. Some relax in front of the fire,
watch movies, and convince themselves that they are as athletic as the
stunt men and women in the Warren Miller films.
At the Ski Wheelers, there is always someone
going where you are going, whether it's downhill or cross country skiing,
hiking, snowshoeing, shopping, going out to eat or carpooling. Your new
friends will always be there to record for posterity your most spectacular
skiing wipeouts, embarrassing social forays or unique moves on the apres-ski
dance floor.
In the non-ski season, the lodge functions
on a self-serve basis, but the Club still sponsors plenty of fun activities
in the Boston area throughout the year and at the lodge on holiday weekends.
For those of you who enjoy the White Mountains all year long, whether
for independent hiking, climbing, bicycling, canoeing, shopping, summer
theater, or just getting away from city life, the lodge is a terrific
place to go
